Matthias Bausch studied painting and graphic art at the Dresden Academy of Art and was a master student of Christian Sery until 2008. Matthias Bausch’s geometric abstractions create a spatial complexity. In the field of tension between dialog and demarcation, color gradients, linearity, flatness and spatial suggestion contrast with each other. Labyrinthine moments are created.
Ekkehard Tischendorf, born in Dresden in 1976, studied painting and graphic art at the Academy of Visual Arts (HGB) in Leipzig under Prof. Arno Rink. The artistic approach of his painting moves between the areas of classical modernism, figuration and abstraction. The luminous colouring of his works often irritates and stylizes familiar subjects. Ekkehard Tischendorf lives and works in Vienna and Dresden.
