studio allocation
The Art and Culture Center GEH8 offers 10 studios for artistic work. All studios are currently rented out, but we welcome applications from Dresden artists so that we can consider vacant spaces at an early stage.
The studios are initially allocated for up to two years with an option to extend. They offer Dresden artists the opportunity to establish themselves in a professional, interdisciplinary environment at favorable conditions. Please note that some studios are not barrier-free. Active membership, which includes collaboration and commitment to GEH8, is a prerequisite for use.
Who can apply?
Artists registered in Dresden with a degree in art (or comparable training) can apply. The degree must be available at the start of the tenancy. Teams or collectives can also apply together – please indicate this in your application.
If you are interested in becoming part of GEH8, please send us the following documents
- Portfolio: Insights into your artistic work (max. 4 MB, e.g. as a PDF or link to a website).
- Letter of motivation: Describe on a maximum of one page why you would like to work at GEH8 and how you could enrich our center.
- Artistic CV: Your training, previous projects and experience as an artist.
You can send us your documents by e-mail. We will keep a list of interested persons and keep your application on file until studios become available. At this point, we will actively contact you if your application is shortlisted.
