WERKRaum Exhibition + Vernissage // Heinz Schmöller – LOOPS

Sculptor and video artist Heinz Schmöller [b. 1975] primarily creates video loops among his video works. In his video loops he uses the infinite loop as a formal cinematic narrative technique. The solitary moment is detached from its temporal structure of before/after in order to remain as a continuous moment and moving image in artificial timelessness. The artist transfers this principle to the analog reality of mechanical kinetic installations. This is also the case in the current exhibition LOOPS at GEH8 WERKRaum.
