WERKRaum exhibition + vernissage // Susanne Engelhardt: Treasure Islands – Altars, Vases and Bowls made of Ceramics

For more than 10 years Susanne Engelhardt’s studio in GEH8 has been a center of attraction for
lovers:inside of thin-walled, hand-turned ceramics with a Mediterranean flair. Besides In addition to utilitarian tableware, she is particularly fascinated by original “treasure islands” – altars,
vessels and vases for relics, from which we can no longer part. It is that we venerate cultically because they are charged with memories, feelings and experiences. These can be chestnuts, stones or shells, but also Playmobil figures, candles, flowers – and all the other flotsam and jetsam of our lives.
We look forward to presenting these worlds in our WERKRaum in November 2021.

Responsible for the curation and supervision of the exhibition is Thomas Judisch.
