Summergarden Concert: Heated Land
Heated Land, an Americana band project around singer and songwriter Andreas Mayrock, who lives in Dresden-Pieschen, present their new album “Forest Tapes” in the summer garden of Geh8. The track list of the new record is composed of completely new songs and rearranged versions of pieces from the two previous albums. It was recorded live and directly to tape through a single stereo mic in a living room in southern Germany with Dresden sound engineer Torsten Lang. Musically Mayrock was mainly accompanied by Raja Ghraizi on guitar and Wilhelmine Schwab on violin. In this line-up, the 3 musicians create a gentle bluegrass mood that sounds like wanderlust, vast landscapes and campfires, preparing the perfect setting for the raw and warm lyricism of the free-floating songs that tell of longing, freedom, self-knowledge, community and the strangeness of man.
