OPEN CALL FOR THE DESIGN OF FLAGS ON THE TOPIC„WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER“
BACKGROUND
With the 2025 annual theme “We’re All in This Together”, the GEH8 art and cultural center is dedicated to the current discourse on social cohesion and the perceived division of society. In this day and age, social, political and economic differences are becoming increasingly visible and are being discussed more intensively. Our theme for the year therefore focuses on the search for community in a society that is characterized more than ever by diversity and individualism. In contrast to the tendencies of demarcation, division and polarization, GEH8 would like to put the focus back on what brings people together and outline the possibilities and hopes that lie in communal action and thinking.
In line with this approach, we are looking for artists who are thematically dedicated to creating community and bringing people together. Eight flagpoles have been installed in the outdoor area of GEH8, which we will use to present artistic works in the form of flags that are based on the theme of the year.
