Kunst.Raum.Konzerte presents: Peter Piek
The Kunst.Raum.Konzerte offer a platform for the fusion of sound-, image- and space-based arts. In the process, music is always joined by another art form. In addition to playing their own pieces, each band develops a composition in real time together with the audience.
Peter Piek
Peter Piek is everything and Peter Piek is one. In him, personalities of a painter, musician, composer, performance artist and writer unite, and they complement and accentuate each other like colors in one of his paintings or tones and rhythms in his music. One can only really get close to the work of the Leipzig artist, who was born in 1981 in what was then Karl Marx City, if one relates the various disciplines to one another. Piek paints with music as well as with colors, he sings in shades as well as in contrasts, when he narrates gossamer thinly to then move deep into and out of the chest voice into high fragile falsetto singing. And Peter Piek shows in his lyrics identities and egos in the now, as they are and can be, drawing them both literally in his artwork and in dance, harmonization and rhythm.
This year Peter Piek is on the road with the tour title “Greatest Hits 2008 – 2023” to offer and complete a small work show through his seven albums to date.
