Kunst.Raum.Konzerte presents: Music meets Painting! With Kravchenko Klees Duo and Isolde Leonhardt + Susann Brenner.
The Kunst.Raum.Konzerte offer a platform for the fusion of sound-, image- and space-based arts. Music is always joined by another art form. In addition to playing their own pieces, each band develops a composition in real time together with the audience.
The Dresden-based Kravchenko Klees Duo, consisting of Ukrainian singer Kateryna Kravchenko and Luxembourgish vibraphonist Arthur Clees, experiments with innovative approaches to setting poetry to music, improvisation and the unique combination of their instruments to explore different worlds of sound.
The two musicians met at the Dresden University of Music and have since performed at various events and on the podcast “Hören.A cultural podcast”. They developed a new repertoire of self-composed pieces, which was awarded the Grand Prix at the international Jazz Juniors Competition in Krakow. In the coming months, the duo will be performing throughout Europe, including in Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Germany.
Isolde Leonhardt and Susann Brenner met in 2007 while studying art in Dresden and developed a long-standing friendship.
Susann, now a graphic designer in Berlin, is characterized by her clear aesthetics and innovative, experimental approaches. Isolde Leonhardt, a bespoke tailor in Dresden, combines art and craftsmanship in a unique way, with her work standing for precision, elegance and sensitivity to materials and shapes. This creative symbiosis breaks down and redefines the boundaries between the arts.
