Group-Exhibition+ Vernissage 2026 // Zittern & Zorn – Keine Angst vor der Angst

In a present increasingly marked by crises and uncertainties, one emotion is taking center stage more and more: fear. It is not merely an individual experience, but also a social phenomenon with political and public implications.

GEH8’s annual theme is dedicated to this ambivalence and understands fear as a contradictory force oscillating between paralysis and activation. “Trembling & Rage” describes the tension between inner trembling and outward rebellion.

The focus for 2026 is on the outward expression of fear: protest, resistance, and public unrest. The group exhibition brings together artistic positions that engage with these dynamics and open up different perspectives on collective states of tension.

The indoor exhibition is complemented by an outdoor extension: flag artworks in public spaces visibly carry the theme out into the wider world.
