geh8 turns 8!

So, eight years ago now, the geh8 studio community came into being and a little later the geh8 art space. A project “geh8”, which in retrospect seems like a constant incentive to make the “8” in 2015 full ;-) This has now been achieved and the association is in a better position than ever before. The stress of dealing with the authorities has been overcome, new perspectives have been opened up by the sale of the site, and since 2014 we have even received institutional funding from the city.

Good reasons to pat ourselves and you on the back and celebrate this properly! We do this on Saturday 16.05. as usual with art, music & dance!

It starts already at 16:00 clock child-friendly. With coffee/cake and cozy live jazz we enjoy the certainly sunny spring afternoon. Until 20:00 clock is provided for food and drink. The artists’ association geh8 will also be there and has prepared a few small and big surprises. Later, two Berlin bands will perform.

One calls itself Of Beat and has colorful in the luggage. With drums, guitar, trumpet, organ, bass and vocals, they play a fast funk-reggae mix that comes along with dubby bubbling and electronic frickle, and all that with a slight disco attitude.

At a later hour, the 5 musicians from the TuneUp Sound Collective play. Their motto is clear and simple: Life is Jam – Go Play! And so the seasoned improvisation professionals come together on stage to capture the vibes of the evening directly and turn them into a groovy dance music firework.

Afterwards, DJ Cover will play a groovy party set, so that no dance leg will be left standing.
