Participation in the Green Culture Festival 2024 in Potsdam

On June 3, 2024, GEH8 took part in the Green Culture Festival at Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. We were invited due to our façade greening project, which was funded by the Environmental Department of the City of Dresden. The department passed on prize money from their award as a climate-active municipality to support the initiative at GEH8.

As part of the festival, we presented our initiative to a professional audience from the fields of culture, politics, public administration, and environmental activism. It was an honor to share insights into the design process, our collaboration with four universities, and the sustainable implementation of the winning design.

Our participation highlights how creative, green urban development and artistic practice can be successfully intertwined. In addition to Potsdam, the project has also been presented at the University of Liège (Belgium) and at the Akureyri Art Museum (Iceland).
