Thomas Judisch directs our gaze to the full reality of the ‘little gems’ of everyday life and, with his work, provides us with a key that enables us to grasp the world in all its incidental beauty. His works, which he has often shown as interventions in the museum context, can be viewed with a wink, as the artist takes a playful, ironic approach to the material. Nothing is as it seems with him. He skillfully plays on the keyboard of eye illusions and trompe-l’œil and invites us on a tour through our everyday lives.
