Opening geh8 Kunstraum

03.10. – 06.10.2007

Exhibition, program, party, fashion show

At the beginning of this year, a dozen artists, architects and designers moved into the former wagon repair station (WAS) of the Deutsche Bahn in Dresden-Pieschen and use the rebuilt space as a work and event location.

After a lot of energy has flowed and still flows into the preparation and repair of the building, all have in the meantime settled into their premises and begun to work. This should now provide an opportunity to present their own work in an exhibition – before the temperatures drop further and thus also temporarily restrict the use of the large hall.

On display are paintings and objects by Tina Beifuss, Yve Köhler, Holger Kasten-Grauberg, Gregor Körting, Paola Alborghetti and Eckehard Fuchs, installations by Danny Hell and Paul Elsner, a video work by Olaf Kube, ceramics by Stephanie Bierwirth and Susanne Engelhardt, design by Jan Molnar and Hilmar Kühn, architecture by Nilsson Samuelsson and urban planning by Jörg Morszoeck.

On 06 October fashion show “head high”:

The first collection of the Dresden label tendercat, the diploma show “Die grüne Stunde” by Johanna Wagner (FHTW Berlin) and a preview of the upcoming opening of the store studio artGewand by Silke Abendschein will be shown.
