Participation of GEH8 in the eighth artists’ fair in Dresden

Also this year the artist fair Dresden takes place for the eighth time! The GEH8 as a studio house is represented by the artists Sara Hoppe, Claudia Kleiner, Thomas Judisch and Michael Merkel.

Somewhat airier designed and on a much larger area, about 100 artists, galleries of producers, art associations and offspaces (with a proven Dresden connection) will exhibit at nearly 80 booths. In addition to the actual KÜNSTLERMESSE, the artists’ association will be showing a specially curated special exhibition on the three days of the fair, dedicated to the theme of the DHM’s current exhibition “Artificial Intelligence”. In addition, the Dresden International Film Festival will present “Künstlich,” a short film program, and the Dresden Book Children will animate younger guests to participate on Saturdays and Sundays. A highlight of this year’s KÜNSTLERMESSE is the film presentation “Uncanny Valley” by the project “Rimini Protokoll”, which will be followed by a discussion with Stefan Kaegi.

Guests from Dresden’s French twin city Strasbourg, from Daejeon in South Korea as well as students from the university class of Prof. Christian Sery round off the multifaceted program with their latest works. Patron of the KÜNSTLERMESSE is State Minister for Culture and Tourism, Barbara Klepsch. Due to the pandemic, admission tickets will be allocated for a specific time slot.

The current hygiene regulations of the DHM apply to the admission and the visit!
