Pecha Kucha Night is a patented idea for a lecture method by Astrid
Klein and Mark Dytham (klein-dytham architecture) from Tokio.
The intention is to give young, creative people a platform to present their projects to the public in an informal setting. Due to their strict matrix and a quick change of speakers, lengthy lectures can be avoided. Each speaker is allotted 20 frames and each is shown for only 20 seconds – 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next talk starts. Of course, there will be an opportunity to meet, discuss and chat with other creative to meet, discuss or toast with other creatives. We explicitly want to not exclusively address people from art, architecture, design, but all those who have ideas and projects and would like to present them.
