OBLIQ describe themselves as a constantly moving acoustic mass. An entity that always follows the characteristics of each sonic shape in detail, progressing along an abstract path and shaped by three musicians with acoustic instruments in free improvisation. Soloistic passages appear sparingly in favor of the complex interlocking structure of the constantly interacting collective.
The approach of working with rather quiet sound material opens up a dynamic spectrum with a high potential for differentiation.
The three young but nevertheless experienced musicians move in the Berlin scene of experimental music. They have already toured several European countries and worked with artists like Christof Kurzmann (LP live at Umlaut Festival 2010), Ignaz Schick and Miya Masaoka.
