MIT HEISSEN NADELN is the first exhibition in this year’s exhibition series fadenkreuz, which takes place in the rooms of geh8. Within this series, exhibitions will take place (based on the four cardinal points) that refer to different art scenes and cultural spaces in Germany, Europe and beyond. The first exhibition will be MIT HEISSEN NADELN. The focus here is on works by artists who have enjoyed their training in D\u00fcsseldorf or Cologne.<\/p>\n

In the imaginary “crosshairs” stretched across geh8, they represent the western compass point. In addition to the temporary spatial proximity of the artists within the Cologne \/ D\u00fcsseldorf art scene, they are united by a formal language that attempts to intervene decidedly in the respective exhibition space. Sculptural positions predominate, which understand sculpture or installation as a space of experience and combine within the exhibition as large-scale drawing, media-supported installation and autonomous sculpture. The exhibition space of geh8 with its brittle hall character will be an important reference and starting point as well as the connecting element within the exhibition.<\/p>\n
