For the group exhibition “Schlaglichter \/ osservatore attenti” at the Ateliergemeinschaft geh8, which begins on June 14, the artists Sofia Chkheidze, Neboj\u0161a Despotovic, Goran Gocic, Luka \u0160irok and Gino Blanc will be presented at the invitation of Paola Alborghetti. Originally from Georgia, Serbia, Slovenia and Italy, they studied at the art academies of Venice and Milan, where they also live and work.<\/p>\n

What all the invited artists have in common is their constant research and experimentation in the field of painting – with the means of which the changing relationship between their own inner experience and social reality (which is increasingly influenced by the media) is explored. In the process, no mere copies of today’s lifeworlds are created, but rather work on the expression of (inter)human interactions, their inherent representations, and the social constraints that stand in opposition to them. The exhibition at the Ateliergemeinschaft geh8 provides a glimpse of how the invited artists react to the social changes taking place in Italy.<\/p>\n
