Last year, GEH8 Kunst Raum Ateliers launched the project Frei.Raum.Direkt., a multi-layered examination of the derelict urban space of the Altes Leipziger Bahnhof in Dresden and, on this occasion, established the new field of action GEH8urban<\/strong>, which aims at an urban development oriented towards the common good by means of artistic strategies.<\/p>\n

This year, the art project IPIHAN was invited to organize its 12th edition on the grounds of the Alte Leipziger Bahnhof. IPIHAN is an annual project in which a group of international artists temporarily infiltrate a site to work on site-specific artworks and ultimately display them in a public exhibition. The group works intensively for five weeks in the surroundings of the Old Leipzig Station and presents the resulting artistic works in an exhibition from September 2 to 4. The public is invited to view the exhibited works themselves or to participate in guided tours organized by the artists.<\/p>\n

Lectures, presentations, film screenings and a bar with drinks and food at GEH8 are also part of the program.<\/p>\n
