GEH8 is a dynamic place for contemporary art and culture in Dresden. We offer artists affordable studios and organize various events such as exhibitions, concerts, workshops and readings.<\/p>\n

Our work deals with current social challenges. According to the motto \u201cArt+\u201d, we seek interfaces and promote interdisciplinary dialog between art and other areas such as urban development and the environment.<\/p>\n

GEH8 offers a platform to both local and international, up-and-coming and established artists. At the same time, we are committed to cultural education and the neighborhood we are a part of, and are always open to new approaches that enrich the experimental character of our space.<\/p>\n

The history of GEH8 began in 2007, when committed artists, architects, designers and urban planners collaborated to transform the former workshop of Deutsche Bahn into a creative space. Through personal commitment and the will to create a space for exchange and artistic production, GEH8 grew from a studio community to a well-known and established center for art and culture.<\/p>\n
